King’s Lynn Town has made an exciting move ahead of the new season by signing promising wide player Edward Leach on loan from AFC Wimbledon. The 19-year-old, who has been with AFC Wimbledon since he was just 11 years old, will join the Linnets for a one-month stint at Docherty Walks Stadium starting this week.

Leach’s journey to professional football began with AFC Wimbledon and he signed his first professional contract with the League Two side in the summer of 2025. During the last season, he gained valuable senior experience through loan spells with Whitehawk FC and Carshalton Athletic. His performance during pre-season training caught the eye of King’s Lynn Town manager Paul Caddis.

Caddis expressed his delight at having Leach join the club:

“Edward is a quick, dynamic wide player who arrives from AFC Wimbledon, having spent the entirety of pre-season with their first-team squad. During that time, he featured in several first-team fixtures, giving him an excellent platform as he joins us ahead of the new season.”

The manager also thanked AFC Wimbledon for their cooperation:

“I’d like to place on record my thanks to everyone at AFC Wimbledon for their professionalism and assistance in making this deal happen. Their cooperation throughout the process has been greatly appreciated.”

Leach’s arrival provides King’s Lynn Town with another attacking option as they prepare for their first match of the new season, hosting Harborough Town in the National League North.

King’s Lynn Town fans can look forward to seeing Leach on the pitch and contributing to the team's attacking play. With his experience and youthful energy, he is expected to bring a fresh perspective to The Walks.
